Hospitals and health centers are important part of civil life in every nation and Laos is not an exception. There are many hospitals and health centers that are available to the people here. These hospitals are located in all the major cities and suburban areas. But Laos has some problem regarding the transportation of the patients. But this is due to the transport problem; otherwise Laos has sufficient hospital and health care management.
Laos has many hospitals that are dedicated in the service of the common people. Some of these hospitals with their contact addresses are as follows,
- International Medical Clinic: This hospital in Laos is located just beside the Mahosot hospital and on Fa Ngum Road.
- Sethathilath Hospital: This is another reliable hospital in Laos. This hospital is situated by the3 Nongbone Road.
- Frienship Hospital: This hospital in Vientiane has hundred beds and is located by the road of Pholthong road.
- Swedish Clinic: This health center or hospital is located by the Sok Pa Luang Road and is also very near to the Swedish Embassy.
There are many other hospitals in Laos. But sometimes patients are taken to AEK Internationals Hospital or the North Eastern Wattana General Hospital which are located in Thailand. It needs to cross the Friendship Bridge that links Laos to Thailand and some other neighboring nations.
While Laos does boast a number of medical facilities, these may not be able to provide care other than emergency services.
